This presentation will focus on how you can elevate your photography by going beyond the rule of thirds and discuss techniques to frame your images, incorporate balance, symmetry and scale as well as leading lines in composition. Composition impacts how long a viewer engages with your images but also contributes to the narrative and mood of the story you are creating. We will discuss the rules, elements and techniques that are part of composition and discuss why we must occasionally break these rules for impact. There will be lots of example images that demonstrate the theory and time for discussing these techniques.
