The time at this project was spent working in the mornings on a variety of tasks ranging from bush chopping, alien plant removal, fence rolling and picking up cheetah poo. In return for our services to this project run by PAWS—People and Wildlife Solutions—we would be rewarded in the evening. The rewards ranged from game drives to track cheetahs and leopards, visiting the local village, time spent in a hide where you could observe a special leopard and learning about the life of the bushmen. It was the best way to connect with the landscape, the people and the wildlife in Namibia

I spend an incredible 4 weeks camped out in Namibia, volunteering on a Cheetah Conservation Project while on a gap year in 2010
