The Australian Photographic Society caters to enthusiasts, amateurs and professionals who reside in Australia and have an interest in photography. I joined this organisation in June of 2020 and have been working through their honours program.
Last month I received an email to say that my image Chalk Artist has been selected to represent Australia in the Mono section of the 4 Nations Competition 2022. It was certainly a proud moment for me. The 4 Nations competition is between the Australian Photographic Society, Canadian Association for Photographic Art, Photographic Society of New Zealand and Photographic Society of South Africa. It has always been a dream to have an image selected to represent Australia in this competition although I don’t think I ever actually voiced this to anyone.
I recently learnt that not only did Australia win this completion, it also won the Our Country, Open and Monochrome sections and placed third in Nature.
