Nilmini lived in a motorhome for 5 years with her partner Steven between 2015-2020 while they worked remotely on their Town Planning Consultancy. They travelled to every state and territory in Australia, waking up to shoot a sunrise, then buckling down to work at a cafe. They guest lectured at universities, had market stalls in festivals and connected with local governments and communities who were interested in their ideas for creating a new paradigm for how we might live, work and play.
Nilmini will speak about the gear she took, the apps she used to plan her travel as well as her photography and how she chose where to sleep, so she could wake up for sunrise. Together with her images, she will share some stories from the road.
